I. Installation

	UNZIP PROSPER.ZIP to a temporary directory.
	Then, run the SETUP.EXE progam in the temporary 
	directory.

	It will prompt for installation directory.
        It will copy all necessary files to the directory you chooose
        and create icons and groups for PROSPER.

        This setup program is created using Visual Basic's Setup wizard and
        not a product developed by us.


II. Converting old files to new file

	To convert old files to new file fomat, run PROSPER and
        click "Convert".

	The conversion routine works with both DOS and UNIX files.
	It automatically detects it so you don't need to worry about it.

	The conversion program assumes that there is only one
        set of weather data and one set of misc. data.



III. Conversion of Units

	Unit conversion is done when converting the old file formats.
        At the conversion dialog, specify units of each weather data.
	If the unit you specify is not a standard unit, data will be
	converted to the standard unit.


IV.  Known Problems

	Simulation program written in C, ported from Fortran code,
        does not work with leap year.
	The program always stops after Feb. data and before
	March data is written.
	However, if start month for a leap year is May or June, it
	appears to work fine. Besides that, it works fine.

	I was able to isoloate the problem and I think it is
	part of simulation calculation.
